To become explicit in the understanding and application of governmental policies, one must first be familiar with method by which they are politically socialized. Just how well the first is politically socialized can be seen through many aspects of day to day your life such as how they participate in community affairs, political conversations and many importantly if perhaps and how that they vote. It is widely acknowledged that the lack of participation in politics and elections by simply adolescents has become a nationwide dilemma. Three articles reviewed in this conventional paper were intricately selected as a result of each with their creative and varying views on the most important organization affecting political socialization and participation. This article " Political Socialization: Building Teen Political and Social Engagement” by Warren & Wicks explores the connection among macro and micro-level socialization agents putting much emphasis in the role of friends and family in personal socialization. " The Personal Socialization of Adolescents canada: Differential Effects of Civic Education on Visible Minorities” written by Claes, Hooghe and Stolle examine how school devices at an early age can easily impact the political involvement of youth, as well as speculating why there exists such a political apathy among children. Finally " Political Socialization and the Future of Politics” by simply Hooghe, looks at how generational gaps along with other external elements are impacting on the incentive of adolescents to participate in governmental policies. While politics socialization may be thought of as a diverse and debatable issue, the fundamental of for what reason adolescents stay away from voicing their opinion in politics is much more explicit. It will probably be proven in this paper that the article by Hooghe presents the most innovative and powerful argument concerning how personal socialization affects political contribution of adolescents. This debate will be defined by assessing the effect of relatives, education devices and generational gaps towards the claims made by Warren & Wicks (2011) and Claes et ing. (2009).

All three articles presented are similar in that they acknowledge the value of parent-child discussion of politics. The debate stressing the importance of father or mother child conversation in political participation presented by Warren & Wicks (2011) is not well founded due to contradiction of their argument through their exploration. When Hooghe (2004) acknowledges the connection between parent and child in its relation to involvement in governmental policies, he includes a much less manly approach. Hooghe (2004) promises " The propensity to discuss governmental policies with parents will highly affect motivation to participate”. It is also vitally pointed out that all those politically active in interactions at an early age with family members is going to continue to do it later on in life, as they are already users in politicized networks (Hooghe, 2004). Mcdougal does not belittle the importance of this relationship in politics, yet he credits its importance and continues on to additional arguments.
